Bio:
Richard began his career working with PeachNet, the University System of Georgia network, in 1994. From 1999-2007, he worked in a variety of positions with Hewlett Packard. He is now Georgia Tech's Information Security Policy and Compliance Manager. In this capacity, he is responsible for drafting and implementing security policies and standards for the campus as well as ensuring compliance with the policies and other regulations (e.g. FERPA and GLBA).
Richard is an experienced security professional with SANS GIAC Global Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials. He also has his Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) concentration from ISC(2).
